Here's my experience. I had a mega built Yamaha Banshee I ran for years on Maxima Castor 927. I never had a piston sieze. I believe Castor 927 is 80% synthetic and 20% castor oil. I ran it in my saws for a while. When I pulled the jug, I noticed more buildup than normal on the piston crown. This was running it at 32:1. My saws are not set rich.
